Christmas is coming, so get ready!

Hello again!
I´ve been a bit busy but I want to wish you a merry christmas and the best way I know is through christmas songs. Here they go with their lyrics, just in case you may use them in class too. See you soon! Mery Christmas!

Let´s change the subject

wow!! we are still celebrating Halloween.Thank you for all the contributions, but I should say that now Halloween is old history.
As a blog is something vivid and changing, I suggest we should celebrate other festivals, for instance British Bonfire Night and American Thanksgiving Day.

This is what I did with my secondary students. We talked about festivals in November comparing Guy fawkes Day and Thanksgiving Day and to illustrate the first one I showed them this video.

Then I pre-teach some new vocabulary for the next video and I played it for the class.

I hope you enjoy them!

The students had the lyrics with some gaps they had to fill in.

Hello there!!!

This is my first post in this blog. I´d like to concentrate on something as frightening and popular as Halloween. Children love it and although adults sometimes seem not to realize how much fun you can have, they all in truth like it. There are so many ways to celebrate Halloween!! I´d like this blog to be a scary place where to store good teaching ideas about Halloween.

Come on! We can learn and share a lot of class materials and who knows, we may even have a spooky fright! I hope you really enjoy it.
